Some Mistakes Can Spoil Your Corbett Trip

Jim Corbett national park is the most enchanting place for nature lovers in and around Delhi. Although, sighting a tiger is rare these days, but roaming around in the dense jungle with the fear of being charged by elephants is quite thrilling.

When visiting the national park, it is important to know the rules and regulations so as not to land up into any kind of trouble. Listed below are some of them:

•    You need to the necessary permits before entering the park and it is always good to let yourself be accompanied by a guide.

•    One needs to drive slowly with no honking. If you’re staying in one of the resorts in Jim Corbett national park and you’ve got the safari arranged through them, then you certainly don’t need to worry about the rules related to driving, as the local driver would already be aware.

•    Do not wear bright clothes and strong perfumes as they tend to attract the animals’ attention. Also, carrying any kind of weapon is a strict no-no.

•    You can carry a camera and binoculars, but you’re not allowed to carry non-vegetarian food and alcohol. Most of the staff at the hotels in Corbett national park is already aware and would advise you of the same.

•    Do not litter. Do not smoke and talk softly.

•    Carry warm clothes during winters as the temperature may drop below freezing in the mornings. During summers, carry a water bottle.

•    Walk only on the tracks as you may trample on flowers and young saplings.

•    Do not go too close to the animals, even if they appear harmless, as they can be dangerous if disturbed.

•    Do not feed anything to the animals as they tend to eat the garbage along with it, like polythene bags, plastic etc..This can even lead to their death. Also, human food is not very good for the animals’ health.

•    Keep a close watch on children and do not allow them to go near the animals.
