Jim Corbett National Park- Some Useful Information

Jim Corbett national park is one of India’s most beautiful wildlife reserves. It is situated in the state of Uttrakhand in northern India and lies in two districts: Nainital and Pauri. It is spread over an area of 521 Sq. Km. Since it is situated in a hilly area, the landscape is lovely and people get an opportunity to see the diverse wildlife at Corbett. Hence, the wildlife in its natural habitat coupled with the nature in its raw form, account for Corbett’s huge popularity amongst the tourists.

There are a lot of activities that can be taken up while at Corbett, for example bird watching, fishing, rock climbing, rappelling, river crossing etc..but the most exciting ones are the open jeep safari and the elephant safari. Both offer a thrilling experience as you get to see a lot of wild animals like chital, sambhar, nilgai, gharial, king cobra, muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian pangolin and tiger- if you’re lucky.
